This is the beginning of what I hope is to be a very long and successful blog.
Hah. Kidding on the successful part.
No, really, my expectations are that low.
Anyway, here's trying. So, I have a ton of things to go over with myself and others, and this blog is hopefully going to substitute for me accidentally telling, you know, a local newspaper or something.
The thing is, I plan to go to Australia for two months, and then move to England for the next five, six months, at least to hold down a job so if I end up wanting to come back, I will have some money, yand maybe a considerable amount, considering the conversion rate.
Is that scary, or what?
I have no family in Australia, just one friend. One. Friend. Who will have to put up with me for two months.
Also, my parents don't know about this yet. Yes, I'll be 22, yes, I've been living on my own for almost two years, and yes, they still order me around.
So I think out of a) going to Australia on my own for two months (even though I have traveled by myself a few times before, but on a lesser time scale) or b) my parents' reaction to England for five or six months,
I think b) is the one I'm terrified of.
And I'm pretty sure I'm an idiot for not being terrified of a).
The only downfall, maybe it's really an uprising, is that I'm leaving in May. As in, the first week of May. As in, almost two months and a week to the day.
Also, the next two months is going to be filled with packing, working, sleeping, packing, working
sleeping, packing, packing, etc. etc.
The plan: Tell my parents two days before I move out of the apartment/go to the airport.
Maybe get them really drunk first.
